My most recent work is derived from a noir like environment and events in which I am surrounded by.  My intent is to dramatize life as we already know it, keeping that in mind, I approach the painting in a cinematic fashion as well.  This helps to establish a painted world which is a bizarre spin on reality.  Ultimately, on a less serious note, I paint things to look strange.  I paint to make things look cool.  Every now and then I paint to communicate an idea.  Hell, sometimes I feel like painting for the sake of painting. As long as there is energy within my being, that’s all I need to begin painting and scheme out a mental blue print as I stand in the studio with music thumping in the background, ready for visual combat.
